In truth, it all begins with childlike courage.

58% of women polled rule out a naval career, thinking it’s too physically demanding. Rather than convincing them that they were up for the challenge, we challenged their self-limiting beliefs.

The Navy brought young women back to a simpler time when joining the Navy wouldn’t be unthinkable. Direct mailers showed up in their mailboxes as nostalgic photographs tucked inside familiar orange paper envelopes – depicting little girls in uninhibited play – unbridled, fearless and willing to try anything. 

‘There was a Time (when Nothing was too Crazy for Her)’ saw a historic 35% increase in sign-ups to the Navy Women’s Career Seminar in 2026.
